7 Days Serengeti Wildebeest Safari

7 Days Serengeti Wildebeest Safari

This tour is one-of-a-kind, focusing on the Serengeti and the Great Migration. You’ll spend at least four nights in the forest, including two nights in the Central Area (which has the highest concentration of big cats in the park) and two nights in the Migration Area (depending on the season). We’ve designed this tour so that you finish your safari in the most isolated part of the Serengeti and travel from there to your next destination.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park’s capital.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 8 a.m. and transported for a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game adventure.

Despite its small scale, the park has beautiful landscapes and is well known for its lush acacia forest, giant figs, and mahogany plants, as well as an expanding community of baboons and blue monkeys (205 square miles). The park’s permanent residents include giraffes, lions, impalas, and a significant number of buffaloes.

On the island, hippos can also be seen in large numbers. Lake Manyara’s landscape is breathtaking, and game drives across the lake have fantastic picture opportunities with giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake in the background. There are a variety of optional tours open, including a bike tour and a boat excursion. In the afternoon, we return to the camp for dinner.

NOTE: Tarangire National Park may be substituted for this park, or you may add a day to see both. You may also opt to upgrade the quality of living.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

We’ll start the day with a transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Region, then descend into the crater floor for an unforgettable morning of wildlife viewing in one of the world’s most spectacular places. After a pleasant afternoon game walk, ascend the crater and return to your hotel.

The Ngorongoro Crater is considered one of the world’s natural wonders. The crater is 102 square miles in size and has 2.000-foot-high walls, making it a virtual Noah’s ark that is home to nearly any kind of East African wildlife.

About Budget Safaris

It’s one of the only locations on the planet that you can see a Black Rhino in its natural environment. Within the crater, there is a dam, several swamps, a soda lake with a significant concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains.

It’s also popular for its elephants, which are the largest in the world and have gigantic tusks. The Ngorongoro Crater is a World Natural Wonder.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is accessible every day. We are fully welcoming to your wishes, and this day will be organized according to your expectations.

On each day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best periods for you, including game drives and wake-up calls. For eg, you could go on a morning game drive, then return to camp for lunch and relaxation before going on an afternoon game drive, or you could go on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is accessible every day. We are fully welcoming to your wishes, and this day will be organized according to your expectations.

On each day of the safari, your guide will discuss the best periods for you, including game drives and wake-up calls. For example, you could go on a morning game drive, then return to camp for lunch and relaxation before going on an afternoon game drive, or you could go on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

 Days 5–6: Serengeti National Park

On these two memorable days, you will be taken across remote areas of the vast Serengeti plains in pursuit of the Great Migration.

Wildebeest safari tanzania

Depending on the season, you may travel as far north as the Serengeti’s remote northern border with Kenya, as far south as the Ndutu District, or as far west as the Serengeti’s western border.

Please keep in mind that you will have the choice of downgrading or enhancing your lodging level.

Day 7: Departure from Serengeti National Park

We suggest waking up early on this day to go on an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) to see one of the most stunning sunrises you’ll ever see. It’s really one of the most incredible things you will do.

We’ll return to the camp for a tasty brunch before going to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, or wherever your next incredible adventure can take you (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of heading on the early morning game tour, you might stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation.
