Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi

Welcome to Uganda. Upon landing in Entebbe, our guide will greet you with cool towels and bottled water. You will settle into your vehicle and begin the scenic journey southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We drive through lush countryside where rolling hills meet banana and coffee plantations. Midway, you might stop for a photo moment or a fresh tropical juice at a small roadside stand.

By late afternoon, we arrive in the forest’s shadow. As mist gathers among the trees you will check into your lodge. You can enjoy a refreshing drink on the terrace as birds call overhead. Dinner is served by candlelight, using fresh local ingredients. This evening sets the tone for a romantic escape.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Romantic Afternoon

Today is the heart of your safari. Saying you wake early does not do justice to the excitement. You will meet your ranger after a light breakfast for a briefing on tracking rules and safety. Rangers guide small groups of eight allowing close, respectful encounters with the gorillas.

The trek takes you through dense forest filled with ferns, giant roots, mossy logs, and shaded pathways. You and your partner follow quietly, cameras ready, hearts racing as you near the family of gorillas. Then you see them. A silverback raising his head, a mother cradling her child, a youngster playing. One hour enveloped by their presence feels like a dream come true.

After returning to the lodge you can unwind over a private lunch on your balcony or terrace with forest views. Perhaps you choose afternoon spa treatments or a slow walk along nearby trails, taking in the forest’s scent and serenity.

Day 3: Optional Activity and Leisure Time

You have the option for a second gorilla trek or a gentle forest walk at first light. Couples who prefer a slower pace might opt for a guided birding walk or a local community visit. After breakfast you might choose to explore a shorter trail through flowering undergrowth while sampling forest fruits and learning about medicinal plants.

Return to the lodge for a relaxed midday meal. Afternoon lends itself to reading by a fireplace, watching clouds drift over the canopy, or simply sipping tea together as forest light shifts. In the evening you can enjoy a special dinner with soft lighting to celebrate your African escape.

Alternatively, you can spend this day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sceneries of Lake Bunyonyi, embark on romantic boat cruises and more.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe

After a final breakfast with forest views, you will prepare for your return journey. You travel back through villages and farms, perhaps stopping at a market or craft stall to choose a memento of your trip. You arrive by midday in Kampala or Entebbe. We drop you at your hotel or the airport according to your schedule.

As you reminisce about gorilla eyes, forest mornings, and candlelit meals, you will carry these memories with you long after the journey ends.
