9 Day Serengeti & Zanzibar Safari

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You land at Kilimanjaro International Airport and our guide meets you with a friendly welcome and transfer to your lodge in Arusha. After settling in you can wander through the tropical gardens or enjoy a relaxing swim. In the evening we gather for a briefing to introduce your safari, share travel tips, and go over your plan for the days ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Serengeti and Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast we take a light aircraft flight over the Great Rift Valley into the Serengeti. Upon arrival, your guide leads you on an afternoon game drive. You will watch wildebeest and zebra on migration, track lions and cheetahs, and enjoy the thrill of your first close wildlife sightings.

Day 3: Full-Day Migration Safari

This day is dedicated to following the migration. You rise early to find herds crossing rivers or filling the plains. Guided by our expert driver, you search for predator action, observe grasses being grazed, and learn about animal behavior. Picnic lunch keeps you in the heart of the action.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Safari

Enjoy a final sunrise drive in the Serengeti, capturing early light wildlife. After midday rest you continue migration tracking in a different sector—perhaps the Western Corridor or Southern Plains depending on movement. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 5: Last Serengeti Drive and Flight to Zanzibar

We begin the day with a final short game drive to say goodbye to the savannah. Mid‑morning you transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar, via either Arusha or Kilimanjaro. On arrival in Zanzibar you are met and transferred to your beach lodge. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing by the sea or exploring your hotel surroundings.

Day 6: Stone Town Tour and Beach Transfer

In the morning we explore historic Stone Town on foot. You wander through narrow streets, visit bazaars, see carved doors, and learn about Swahili culture. We stop by a spice market to sample local produce. After lunch we head to your beach lodge. Relax on the sand or swim in clear Indian Ocean waters.

Day 7: Beach Day with Optional Activities

Day 8: Relaxation or Jozani Forest Visit

Day 9: Departure from Zanzibar
